Every year at about this time, our patients who have dental insurance appreciate being reminded that any unused benefit is lost forever on December 31. Having dental insurance is a great benefit. If you have any unused benefits, this would apply to you.
Remember, we must allow time for dentistry started in 2013 to also be completed in 2013; most companies do not pay a benefit if completion is delayed into the following year.
So, don't let those benefits go to waste--give us a call at (843) 206-0502 and set up an appointment!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services. Since its inception more than 25 years ago, NBCAM has been at the forefront of promoting awareness of breast cancer issues and has evolved along with the national dialogue on breast cancer. NBCAM recognizes that, although many great strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, there remains much to be accomplished. Today, we remain dedicated to educating and empowering women to take charge of their own breast health.
Although October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NBCAM is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals about breast cancer throughout the year.

Quick tips: Citrus fruit
Wait - don't brush just yet! After consuming high-acid food or drinks, like wine, coffee, citrus fruits, and soft drinks, rinse with water to neutralize the acids, but wait an hour before reaching for the toothpaste.
Brushing teeth immediately after drinking carbonated drinks and acidic foods can cause erosion.
